New Hydrocarbon Trap Reduces Hydrocarbon to Trace Levels

JM Science announces their new Systech Hydrocarbon Trap for reducing hydrocarbon to trace levels for mass spectroscopy applications.
LC/MS (MS) or TOF/MS instrumentation has become extremely sensitive with increased resolution and processing speed. Thus it is imperative to remove background hydrocarbons for these very low trace determinations <15ppb. The hydrocarbon-trapping device is based on activated carbon and with minimum pressure loss. The new sensitivity significantly improves signal-to-noise and is ideal for all MS applications. This accessory is designed to be connected between a nitrogen gas generator and the LC/MS (MS) to TOF/MS. A choice of 20 liters/min and 40 liters/min flow rates can accommodate high gas flow rates. The 1/4 inch and 6mm fittings are included for use with most MS systems. The Hydrocarbon Trap offers 300 psi pressure limit (2.07MPa) and 572°F (100°C) temperature limit.
