Genevac has launched the Flip-Flop™ system to improve post Accelerated Solvent Extraction (ASE®) concentration and preparation of samples.

Using the special double-ended Flip-Flop™ tube - samples can be collected directly from a Dionex ASE® system. A SampleGenie™ adaptor with GC vial is then fitted. The tube is flipped over and placed into the Puck sample holder in a Genevac Rocket Evaporator and the cap removed. The samples are then concentrated directly into a GC autosampler vial.

The Genevac Rocket Evaporator enables rapid concentration or evaporation of up to 18 Dionex ASE® vials simultaneously.  In addition using Genevac's proprietary SampleGenie™ technology in conjunction with the Rocket Evaporator enables samples to be concentrated directly into an autosampler or storage vial, eliminating the need for manual sample transfer.  Addition of the new Genevac Flip-Flop™ system completes the automation of transfers from ASE® vials.

Using this simple procedure eliminates manual transfer steps and helps automate the ASE®  evaporation / concentration process resulting in improved laboratory workflow, increased reproducibility of results and enhanced sample recovery.

Genevac, part of the SP Scientific group within SP Industries Inc, was founded in 1990.  Today the company employs around 85 people, with manufacturing, R&D and marketing headquartered in Ipswich, UK. Genevac today offers a comprehensive portfolio of evaporators to suit almost any solvent removal application, purchasing budget or productivity requirement.
