Hanwha Solar America, a US entity within Hanwha Group, has recently placed an order with leading plasma etch & deposition tool manufacturer Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology for a PlasmaPro System100 multi chamber tool, encompassing a combination of PECVD and sputter modules. The PlasmaPro System100 cluster tool will facilitate research into new materials, cell concepts, and process characterisation applicable to crystalline silicon cell development. The system will be installed at Hanwha Solar America’s Advanced PV Research Laboratory based in Santa Clara, California, USA.
