Freeze Drying 101 : Back to Basics Training Course

SP Scientific has announced a new 4-part online training course for scientists to build a basic understanding of the theory and concepts behind freeze drying - an essential pre-requisite for those looking to design a working lyophilization process.

The four session training course, presented by leading industry expert Dr Jeff Schwegman, will run every Wednesday between July 11th and August 1st, 2012. Topics covered will include an introduction to freeze drying; the physical properties of materials and thermal characterization techniques; freezing, annealing, primary and secondary drying and finally scale-up, cycle transfer and maximizing throughput capability.
