Oxford Instruments plc, a leading provider of high technology tools and systems for research and industry, has won the award for Best Technology Company 2012 at the annual PLC Awards.
The awards, sponsored by Price Waterhouse Coopers, reward excellence amongst the smaller companies quoted on the London Stock Exchange. Attracting more than 1,500 guests, including quoted companies, investment banks, fund managers, investment analysts and corporate advisors, the awards are 'the' City event of the year.
The Best Technology Award is given to companies whose business growth and success is attributable to the development of technology led products and services. It is sponsored by Jefferies.
Chief Executive Jonathan Flint said “Science and technology is at the core of our business and we pride ourselves on turning smart science into commercially successful products. Recognition that Oxford Instruments is able to demonstrate significant innovation in terms of technology itself and its application, is testament to the skills and expertise of our people worldwide."
