Versatile Tube Code Reader

Micronic Europe BV, specialists in traceable sample storage solutions, have announced the introduction of the Tracxer RS210 coded tube reader.

The Tracxer provides a complete tube code reading solution for your lab whether you use 2D Data Matrix, TraXis or competitive brand coded tubes to store your samples. The reader is fully compatible with all SBS standard storage racks, which enables the reading of 24-, 48-, 96- and even 384-well formats.  Due to its compact A5 size - the Micronic Tracxer is a perfect choice for use in robotic liquid handling and storage systems. It is simple and high performance scanning at its best.

Built to deliver long-term reliability and industry leading precision - Micronic have developed new intuitive software for the Tracxer that is easy-to-use, gives reliable readings of 2D codes and provides data that is readily integrated into any laboratory sample database. With just a couple of mouse clicks of the Tracxer software you will be able to scan 96 coded tubes in less than 5 seconds. A text file is automatically generated containing a list with 96 tube codes which can be interfaced with several types of database and opened within Excel spreadsheets.

The software also includes a rack decoding feature that is able to distinguish between 2D codes that are not recognised and empty storage positions. This capability can be crucial for determining whether any samples are missing which is a vital pre-requisite for a reliable sample logistic system. The software also features 1D bar code integration.

Dedicated to the design and production of innovative sample storage tubes, accessories and instruments over the last 25 years, Micronic is uniquely able to offer laboratories the expert advice to help them safeguard one of its most valuable assets - its samples.
